What is it? 

The agency's new online portal to manage accounts for taxpayers and tax professionals! The portal allows users to file and amend returns, view balances, make payments, view correspondence, register new accounts, update information and more!

What tax types are available on the portal?

Meals and Rentals Tax, Nursing Facility Quality Assessment, and Medicaid Enhancement Tax are currently available on Granite Tax Connect. Additional tax types will be available in future years.

Important dates and information regarding M&R, MET, and NFQA taxpayers:

  • M&R Taxpayers Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol November 15, 2019-Deadline to file returnfor the October 31, 2019 filing period using GTC.
  • M & R operators can continue to utilize e-file and telefile until December 31, 2019 if they choose. During this time, operators should only file and pay in one system to avoid processing delays, duplicate payment drafts, etc.
  • Beginning January 1, 2020, the only electronic method of filing that will be available for Meals & Rentals taxpayers will be through GTC.
  • NFQA Taxpayers Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol January 10, 2020-Deadline to file your NFQA return using GTC.
  • MET Taxpayers Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol January 15, 2020-Deadline to file your non-binding estimate using GTC.

Tips for creating your account:

When creating your account, have your Tax Identification and license number(s) on hand, along with a secondary piece of information, such as a recent letter ID from the Department of Revenue, the amount of your last three payments to the Department, or a copy of the return information from your most recent filing with the Department.
